We are open both indoor and for outdoor dining. (We no longer provide delivery, we care for the quality of our food, and the safety of our customers. We want to provide all our customers with the same quality and service. We are not affiliated in 3rd party apps or delivery services)
Maximum party size is 8 total including children. We also have a wonderful patio that has wonderful views, heaters, and greenery. Come join us for your next meal.
NOTE: If you are fully vaccinated, masks are optional. Not Vaccinated must wear mask until seated. Please note if you do not wear a mask, you are self contesting to being vaccinated.
There are many changes and probably more changes coming as well, and sometimes everyone's views are different. We totally understand, but as a business we must comply, and we do not want to offend anyone by doing so. We are simply complying so our business can open without conflict and of course for everyone's health and safety. Thank you for understanding, and being patient during these times. It is what we call, the feeling of being "content" after a meal.
We started our business in 2014 with one goal in mind: Providing great food and an enjoyable dining experience.Yes, Modan Artisanal Ramen of South Pasadena we our first adventure. Thanks to our experience and dedication, and of course all the wonderful patrons, we’ve managed to open in Modan Eagle Rock, Nori Sushi South Pasadena and of course KONTENTSU of Montrose.
Kontentsu and its sibling restaurants are founded by a partnership between husband and wife determined to provide a future for their beautiful family. This determination grew to a passion for creating delicious food, and a stubbornness for great service.
Sentimental history: We started with a view from a small apartment window 10 years ago, with a dream in mind. Now that exact window is seen from our dream come true.
